countrystitcher
Going in for foot surgery tomorrow morning at 7:15. Have a stress fracture in big toe and then doing bunion surgery - giving me a two-fer I guess. I've had one bunion surgery several years ago and it went okay, praying this one goes as well. I will be home from work 10 days and then on crutches for 4-6 weeks. No Quilting - so looking forward to some hand work and doodling on paper. Will have more computer time, if DH will let me use his computer. So if you don't see my name for a while, you all will know why. Take Care Sharon
Hollyrw
I hope your surgery goes well. That's a long time to go without quilting!
DoryJM
Good Luck with your surgery, Sharon. I bet if you whine successfully, your DH will buy you your own computer so you'll leave his alone!!
MarieBrewer
Best of luck to you Sharon. My husband had bunion surgery too and got along pretty well after. Hope recovery time is a good time of doodling etc.
Boni
There's a lady instructor at the mountain who had the same surgery last summer. She's doing really well, skiing and just now getting back into running. She's 55+. Hope all goes well with you too.
Bonnie
OUCH...how long will you be off your feet in a wheelchair? Or are they letting you play with those wicked crutches right away? Good luck tomorrow....and hurt and heal.

eswindy
Oh I have some crutches and a wheel chair when I broke my foot.. Prayers with you and hope no pain..
quiltmonkey
Have a good surgery and pop back in here soon to check in, OK? Take it easy... Do like Mary Beth did and "milk it along" so you can get away from doing the household chores and cooking! Can you get a saddle stool to sit on while quilting? That way you can at least get your fix now and then.
jmcclannan
I'm with Shana. I had a similar surgery a couple of years ago and I was afraid I was wearing a permanent dent in the sofa where I could comfortably sit with my foot up. The good news is the sofa is OK and so is my foot!!

mrsbishwit
Sharon, good luck with your surgery tomorrow, I'll be praying for you. We'll be doing our recoveries at the same time, I am having a hysterectomy on Thursday morning and will not able to do any long arming for about 6-8 weeks but I do plan on doing some piecing after a couple of weeks. Take it easy and get plenty of rest.
