Quilting Heidi
Hi all, I just heard from Rita's daughter and the surgery went well. It only took about 45 minutes! Her blood pressure dropped in recovery so they didn't get her out of bed until today. She is doing well but sleeping a lot. I'll keep you posted as I hear any other news. Please keep her in your prayers.

Certainly will keep praying for her that she will have a quick recovery and that her blood pressure will stay within normal range. jmcclannan
45 minutes?!?!? It's taken that long for me to get a filling at the dentist. How do they do it so fast? I will pray that her recovery is as remarkably fast as her surgery was.
JustSewSimple
OK all, the worst for her is yet to come. We should know this but don't share it with her. When they get her up to walk the first few times she will experience terrible pain. Perhaps we should pray for low pain walking. So glad the surgery is behind her. anita
Let's pray that this is the beginning of the end of the hip/walking issues. Though she has a way to go and some pain to overcome, let's pray the surgery is the most successful it can be. She's a feisty lady...if anyone can work thru the pain, she can! Thanks Heidi for letting us know... Anita

LeeAnn
Hopefully her recovery will be speedy. My DH had hip replacement surgery and he said the pain afterwards was less than what he was tolerating before the surgery when he had bone on bone. I'll pray for her recovery will be swift. Take care, Rita.

mswings
Thanks Heidi for the update. Poor Rita, having to recover from surgery can be hard but I agree with LeeAnn. She may feel better now than she did before. Incisional pain certainly hurts but bone pain is awful! Sending my prayers as well. I love this forum! There is soooo much compassion and help here. I have only met a few of you personally but feel as though I have many friends here. Thanks to all for all you do.
