PattyJo
I'm up in Tacoma at the Convention Center selling Quilter's Rule products and this show is AWESOME! The quilts that are displayed are all top notch. And I've met so many wonderful people. I'm posting just a few of the 175 pics that I took this morning so that you can get a feel for the quality that is here. The thread play on this one is amazing. These last ones are for you Shana - It has Alaska all over it!!!! I have so many more and I tried to get pics of the quilt name and the quilter, but some I didn't get so don't want to post them without the credit to the quilter. Beautiful show so if your in the area, the show goes tomorrow from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. Stop by the Quilter's Rule booth and say hello if your able to come by. Thanks for looking. This show is truly inspiring, a bit intimidating, but all beautiful.

LadyLake
Thank you so much, Patty Jo. These are exceptional quilts. I have seen the tea quilt, but not the other two. Sometimes the detail is easier to see in a photo than with our own eyes (!)

PattyJo
The theme that seems to run through all the art quilts is a lot of "critters". There are several horse quilt, the bear quilts, lots of Turtle quilts, Kittys, etc....! I haven't even made it through the traditional quilts. There are some totally amazing whole cloth quilts....Way more that we can see during the show so we are going a bit earlier today to try and see more of them. Also the 3rd floor (which we were made aware of yesterday afternoon) has more quilts on display....."I'm in heaven, I'm in heaven (singing here). Just amazing. Linda, see you tomorrow! ffq-lar
What a great quilt show! It was good to see you and Lucy, Pat. This might be a show for left-coasters to put on their calendar next year. There were acres of vendors! The venue was perfect--lots of room, wide aisles so you could get a wide shot of a big quilt, as I said--mucho vendors, two floors of quilts--one floor was juried/judged quilts and one floor was the sponsoring groups challenge quilts. This is their first year in Tacoma. Seattle was the home of this show for many years and I only made it once--parking was distant and very expensive, besides the drive in to Seattle is challenging any time of day. Now in Tacoma there is parking in the venue, parking around in many lots, and it is on the light rail line directly from a free parking garage two miles away. Lots of happy quilters buying buying buying everything in sight. We had to stop halfway through the quilt displays because we were on overload! Stopped for lunch and went back for shopping and then the rest of the show. It was gorgeous! Maybe next year we can schedule a Moxie meet-up at this show with dinner after. That could be our Fall meeting.
