Judy Ingram
This little cutie is a customer quilt. I used Hobbs Polydown batting, Bottom Line on top and in the bobbin, used the QZ to do the crosshatching, a 3" circle in the sashing (thank you Vickie and Linda for showing this technique), and freemotioned the rest. Judy Ingram
Thank you, thank you! I hope it is treasured by someone Jeanne. Yes, Marilyn and Joan the customer was very pleased. I met her for the first time when she brought me the quilt top. What a very nice lady! At first I was a little apprehensive since I wasn't sure how well I'd be able to outline all of that embroidery. Not a problem with my sweet Lily da Millie. I didn't even need a ruler. What a blessing to have one of these fabulous machines. I just love it! LibbyG
Love the way you quilted this. Did you use a template and draw the heart, then just quilt around it without using a ruler?
Judy Ingram
Libby the hearts were stamped on. So were the lines 1/4" inside the blocks and also 1/4" around the perimeter of the quilt. This is a Jack Dempsey pattern. The pattern shows the quilting design as marked:
