CindyT
Here's one I finished that was fun and forgot to post earlier. The customer has become a prolific user of her embroidery machine and raw edge appliqueing. I used matching Metro embroidery threads to quilt with. She embroiders her "label" right onto the backing so it's quilted over, too.

chrisquilter
Such a cute quilt! I love pumpkins! Cindi I have a customer who embroiders a hummingbird with her labeling on all her quilt backs. At first I was worried about breaking a needle when I got to the heavy embroidery, but so far I have not had any problems.

Linda G. Craig
Great job on the quilting, it's really wonderful! My mom used to sing that song to me, and she had a little blackbird funnel-style steam vent that she would placed in the center of meat pies. I had forgotten about that little blackbird, I'll have to see if I can find it among my mom's things. Thanks for sharing the photo and bringing back some sweet memories. "Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye, Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie. When the pie was opened the birds began to sing, Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king? The king was in his counting house counting out his money, The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes, When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!" Shar Schmutz
Cindy, great quilt and quilting! I love fall colors but this year I'm not in much of a hurry for it to arrive as we had such a short summer here in the Northwest! I enjoyed the words to the song as well, this one is going in my favorites as well.
