Chocoholic
That is an absolutely gorgeous quilt from the piecing through the quilting, i.e. start to finish! Love it. Just in case your aunt ever gets tired of it, ti goes with my decor perfectly!

SherryRogers
Fabulous! Looks like you nailed it Debbie!! You should send a picture of this to Judy, she does have a gallery on her homepage. I know she is working on another book as well. She may want to consult with you to do some quilting. http://judymartin.com/ Keep up the terrific work!

ramona-quilter
As Shana would say: WOWSER. It really is quite stunning. Design and planning are one thing but execution is another. Great job. What kind of batting did you use? And thread?
dtreusch
Hey Linda. The batting is Hobbs 80/20. I used Mono Poly for all of the SID and So Fine for the feathers. The bobbin was Bottom Line for everything. I'm anxious for my aunt to see the finished quilt. I'll be taking it with me to Coloraro for her in a couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure she'll be pleased with it. If not, then I'm keeping the quilt for myself!! Debbi
April W
I just had one of these delivered to be quilted like the book. Never had to do so much SID/feathers on one quilt before and I'm wondering how much you charged to quilt yours? ffq-lar
Hi April--just did this quilt this week! I did the same feathers but did not do the SID. I placed a design in each quarter-circle and also quilted the contrasting path that echoed the edge of the circular parts. I charged 3 cents an inch. If I had done the SID, it would have been 5 or maybe 6 cents and have taken way more than the five days it was on the frame. I will post a pic if I can coax one out of my camera.
