It is call stuffed work, with a similar effect to trapunto, but done by the appliquer with little puffs of poly fill, between the background and applique pieces. Just stunning! She actually asked if I thought it was good enough to show!. BTW, except of the center wreath, this is her own design, born of a pile of leftover yellow triangles! A few more on webshots!
