ffq-lar
This maple leaf quilt was pieced by the sister of a customer--who is from Canada and this is her first quilt (!). Any beginner who can piece an on-point set, make log cabins all the same size, paper piece, and add borders--and still keep the quilt flat and square--I am impressed and this one was a pleasure to quilt. Pretty standard quilting--leafy stuff and some McT. Just wanted to send my new Canadian friend Lorie a big "atta girl" for the great job she did! victoriasews
I never would have thought to use a log cabin to alternate with other blocks. It really looks wonderful. It is always such a gift to get to quilt a flat, square quilt. They seem so few and far between.
