chrisquilter
I designed this wholecloth quilt so I could practice painting on fabric. I quilted the design then painted the fabric while it was still on the machine. The fabric had the sparklies on it already. I love the way they show up in the non quilted areas. chrisquilter
Yes, Heidi, with textile paint. Very forgiving paint. It does not run. Let me tell you, it was a leap of faith to paint it after it was quilted! LOL . I just thought, in for a penny, in for a pound and jumped in! At least I did not do the background fill until the painting was finished. I might be crazy, but not that crazy! LOL

Guest Linda S
That came out really nicely. I've been experimenting with painting lately too. Not all of my results came out that well. Pretty!

Meg, I used Setacolor transparent paint by pebeo. You can order it from Darma trading or AB Dick. I bought mine from Micheals Craft Store, but they don't carry it any more. I used it straight from the bottle but you can thin it with water too.
