NQR New Heart Valve and New Baby

Recommended Posts

Due to many delays, my daughter in law, Michelle, received her new Mitral Valve on Feb. 22. The replacement and repair of the second valve went very well, however, the lower chamber of her heart was not beating reliably and sometimes not at all. Fortunately they placed a temporary pacemaker at the time of surgery so it would kick in when her own heart failed. Although they tried to give her heart time to recover, it was determined that they would have to place a permanent pacemaker in order to keep her safe. This was done on Monday Feb. 27 This is not the outcome we expected, but all is well and she is home recovering slowly but surely. What a brave and strong young woman she is.

On March first, my other daughter in law delivered a beautiful 7lb 3oz girl. Her name is Ireland Rose. I have attached two pictures of her. Of course one is on her Double Irish Chain quilt, quilted with roses. I think she looks like a little pea in a pod in that picture! LOL6800111168_e42cd31746_z.jpg
