Elita@BusyNeedleQuilting
Hiya! I have this lovely Ohio Star quilt that has sweet blocks of a fabric that looks like ol' time sampler work and I could use some suggestions on quilting something other than the standard SID (boring). Thanks! Elita
Quilting Heidi
I would cross hatch the orange and do cc's on the star with maybe something special in the inside. Piano key the borders.

Elita@BusyNeedleQuilting
Thanks for your ideas, Ladies! Here's what I did in the end. It's a first attempt at freehand on the pumpkin seeds but I'm pleased with it. Thanks again-you all are the greatest! Elita

Elita@BusyNeedleQuilting
LinneaMarie, You're going to laugh-I didn't know how else to do them and when I was finished, I realised I could've used my HF! Felt silly when I saw the pattern that emerged on the back but lesson learned! I'd used my EQ6 to try out some quilting patterns and found that one so I used it. Had also "seeded" across half of the big red blocks in the center before remembering that wasn't what I wanted to do! Next time I'll be sure to put up a drawing/printout of what I'm planning to do so I don't forget. Plenty of silly mishaps but it's all in the learning curve.
