dlnewell
I too like the sashing in the sunbonnet sue...That melon/nine patch is really beautiful! I'm curious to know what the controlling husband thinks of his quilt.

I have a strange and wonderful variety of quilts this month--next one black with bright batiks and another a sampler in country blues, browns, and golds. March is eating me alive!! I just heard yesterday that a dear cousin my age died on Saturday and my sister and I will be going to her services this weekend. That and a surgery last week for my baby sister and I am about wrung out. Quilting has become my refuge this week....
quiltmonkey
OMGosh! Linda, you never cease to amaze me with your GORGEOUS quilting! Love all of them. Thanks so much for sharing your work. You rock. PS: I will be hoping the best for your customer's quilt she is entering in the show. :)
ffq-lar
I had a couple of contacts about the quilt with the Daiwabo fabrics (the brown/gray/cream one). Here is a shot of the two borders. That brown border has half-heart ribbons and the busy outer border is a ribbon meander with tendrils. This was because I spent my customer's budget on thread changes, starts and stops, and feathers in the body of the quilt!! The borders were the fastest and easiest designs that fit the fabric and the interior quilting. The density is a bit looser, but it will be hanging down the side of the bed and the top part can carry the drama. Not much shows on the busy fabrics. Just sharing the thought process. Janette
Beautiful quilting indeed. Such a nice variety of quilts, there are not many I don't like to look at. I was going to post a picture of my (very basic in comparison) quilt, but I don't think I will now when there is all of this eye candy !!!
RitaR
Linda that is scrumptious.. as usual.. You hit the top over and over.. so happy for you.. I don't know where the gals saw the sunbonnet sue quilt, I've looked and looked and can't find it, at least not on this thread.. Keep stitching, and I'm praying for all the other stuff happening in your lives.. Hugs, and to Den, too!
