carolinequilts
Thanks to Linda for posting the intructions on feather meander. I thought I would give it a try. Looks pretty good in the picture, but up close there are a lot of 'learning opportunities'. It is a busy quilt, and I hated piecing it. I started it about 8 years ago when I didn't really know what I was doing, and finished it this year. The blocks ended up ranging in size from 6" - 6 1/2" (my newer ones were the right size), so there were a lot of 'big boobs' in this quilt. I thought the feathering design would help flatten it, but there are some puckers here and there. I'm just happy that I got it done and was able to try something new that I was scared of trying. Thanks Linda!!

Bonnie
I use the feather meander for busy quilts as well. It hides a multitude of piecing sins and when you miss no one really sees it.

RoseCity Quilter
Love it! I have a quilt I would like to try a feathered meander on. Did you start with a spine, or did you just go for it?
carolinequilts
Ardelle. I did not stitch a spine - I just drew the spine and started the feathers. I'm trying another one and am going to stitch the spine (after drawing). I'm not sure what the difference will be or what others are doing. Maybe someone can chime in.
