doodlebug
i'm working on this quilt and it's a BIG quilt! and it has three purple borders plus the sashing between the blocks...it's the 'trip around the garden sampler' i think someone posted not to long ago that they were doing one...this is the first, and then i have another one right after this one- different fabrics... so which border design? i'm leaning towards #1 (i'm being lazy and that would be 'easier')
boppinbrandy
I really like #1!
SandraC
I like them both...sooooo if #1 is easier, go for it! I like it when you have an option to go the easy way!!!
Linda G. Craig
I know it's more work, but I like feathers, so I'm with #2. And I like how it looks with the feathers in the triangle areas.
Hollyrw
I like #1 but it would not be easier for me! My l's and e's are not consistent enough.
Luvstoquilt
I can never say no to feathers. Wish I could do them nicely.
Quilting Heidi
OK I like #1 but I think #2 puts the quilt over the top, but you all know I love feathers! It just makes the quilt more elegant looking.
Renae
Go with #1 and then decide on the next one if it will be #2 or #3 or #4 or...........:D:D I know I'm just a little bit crazy today. I say #1, really.
Liam
I like them both, but leaning more toward Linda & Heidi's suggestion.......I like feathers!
IBQLTN2
when in doubt always do the harder thing, #2 and we all know you can do it.

Boni
If it really looks like a "traditional" quilt, as far as the piecing goes, then do feathers. If it's a little bit "modern" or Non-traditional, go for the e&l.
Laura Farnham
My vote is for #2. Feathers are always good and they go rather quickly...
ramona-quilter
I'm with Boni on this one, it depends on the quilt. Traditional (#2) or more modern fabrics (#1)
grannyju
What if you did #1 but overlapped the L's in the center of the border? --just an idea. JULIE

doodlebug
i ended up doing #1, and i'm glad i did, because of the thread color you can't see the design, and we know how i feel about feathers that don't show
