witha'K'quilting
I had some spare time this afternoon so I loaded some black fabric top and back and black batting and played with 3 different colors of threads. First I marked areas 15" square (3 of them) and then played. Here is what I came up with.

witha'K'quilting
and lastly...this is my ToadSong meander...but still one of my favorites.
witha'K'quilting
The first two pics are my variation of Nicole Webb's quilting. One is her flower (forget what she calls it) and the other her Banana Man! What fun. Now to do something with these 15" squares. Bind them probably and hang them on a wall. Whatcha think? Matt Sparrow
Really fun fillers. I like them a lot! I can almost hear your machine purring along and I can tell that you were smiling while quilting these. Isn't it fun to play with thread?!
witha'K'quilting
This is the metro embroidery thread...and I really like it. And yes matt, I was smiling the entire time. Thanks for the compliment!

They look great and you can tell by looking at them that you were happy, happy purring along with the machine. CindyT
Very impressive and glad you got some "me" time to have all that fun! My thread adventures have yet to come. Pillows would look good with these pieces of art!
quiltmonkey
You rocked on Banana Man! That one is my favorite of the three. I need to do this, too. Maybe next weekend? My machine was giving me fits on Saturday (bobbin thread snapping all the time and bad tension) so... Yesterday I completely "GI'd" my machine. Took everything off (found clumps of thread stuck in the nooks/crannies under the Rulermate and thread cutter) and did a overall cleaning and oiling; even waxed the rails. I found what seemed like a half a spool of lime green bottom line thread wrapped around one of the front carriage axles. It took me nearly 30 minutes to get all that #$% thread pulled out of there. Sheesh, Shana!!! I need to GI that machine more often.
dlnewell
I like all of them...I was trying to doodle out on paper your toadsong meander yesterday, but couldn't remember exactly what it looked like. Do I have your permission to use it on one of my quilts?

I would love to see pictures of the quilt when you are finished with it.
