Sallyquilt
Went through this with my mom, so can tell you that it does get easier with time. Hang on to your happier memories and let the sad ones go. She is in a place where she has all her memories and loving her family again. JustSewSimple
Thinking of you during this difficult time. Your mom has been in a confused fog for awhile but now she can see and understand clearly. Heaven is going to be such a wonderful place for all of us to reconnect with the love ones we've lost. Peace be in your heart and hope for rejoicing.
cblevins
My mom died on Mothers Day this year. She left me with a little hole in my heart and enough wonderful memories to see me through. I read this quote shortly after she died... "Every life is as individual as a butterfly; so too, is the grief that wounds every living heart." Take care of yourself and let the grief run it's course. Guest Linda S
Debbie - I'm sorry for your loss but glad your mom is now at peace. Alzheimer's robs us of our loved ones a long time before they physically leave this world. I'm so sorry your lovely mom got this disease. Peace be with you. mountainquilter
Deb, So sorry for your loss. Memories of our Mom help me make it through the day sometimes. Mom's are our Guardian Angels here on earth and I firmly believe even more so in Heaven. It's tough to get through, God be with you and your loved ones. mountainquilter
Deb, I am adding a little to my above message. I wrote a letter to my Mom which I could not read but had the mortician read to the the friends and family who came. It really helped me and in places it cracked everyone up. I read it when I get really lonely missing my Mom. My Mom will be gone 1 year the 29th of Sept. , but my letter cheers me up and I can laugh.
