RoseCity Quilter Posted June 26, 2011 Report Share Posted June 26, 2011 From Roger, Ardelle's DH Ardelle underwent breast reconstruction surgery yesterday. She has a 6 hour surgery that went very well, however about 5 hours after she got to her room, the nurse discovered that there was a circulatory problem and called the resident, who contacted the surgeon, who decided that additional surgery was needed. 5 hours later they found a blood clot and got that fixed. The vein draining the transplant is weak, but holding. She is now doing great and recovering. She will be in the hospital until at least Wednesday but I will tell her what is happening.
