Butterfly
Here is a recent customer quilt. I was amazed at how tiny the pieces were on the star in the center. It was so pretty and beautifully put together and a joy to work on. I used SoFine thread and QD cotton select. If you look closely you will see that she added some crystals after I quilted it. The pics are kind of blurry so I don't know if you can see them.

Beachside Quilter
Wow, Jess, this is gorgeous! What did you use on the inner blue border of the flying geese?
LibbyG
Jess, Just beautiful. I love how you stippled in the blue background and made a secondary design. I'm also interested in the design on the blue border around the flying geese. Did you do 1/4 inch or just go up and back? I'd love to see a close up of it. Guest Linda S
What a beautiful job you did on this, Jess! Trust me, I know how small those pieces can get. I just pieced the center of a triple and the feathers were only 3/8". You did a lovely job with your feathers on this star.
Butterfly
Here is a closer up shot of that blue border area around the flying geese. Nothing fancy. Just went up and back really fast, less than a quarter inch apart. Thank you for your kind words. Jess

LadyLake
I like the way you created a shape on the dark blue squares surrounding the miniature work, which helped to transition the small scale to large. Welcome back Jess!
