peglu
I did the color trapunto with felt. I got it at Joann's. It was a bright pink. It softens a lot under the muslin. I just used regular muslin. Batting is QD poly blend and a cheap polybatting to make the border stand out more. The cross hatching was just drawn on with blue marker and done with my itty bitty ruler(my favorite ruler in the world). Thanks for all of you kind comments and suggestions for names. Janette
it is a true work of art. I would want to keep that one for myself if I were you. it must have taken hours. you are very generous with your time.
LibbyG
Just gorgeous! If I were donating it to a silent auction I would make a starting price at $400, because I would really really be upset if it sold for a $100 or so. If that was the case, you'd be better off giving the hundred and keeping the quilt.

Anne from Guam
Wonderful! Did you get the pink by coloring on the muslin, or did you put pink felt inside the muslin? I am confused.
peglu
Anne, the pink felt is behind the muslin. You have to go really bright because the muslin changes the color. It is done the same way as trapunto, you just use felt instead of batting on the trapunto part. Check out Karen McTavish. She has several books out that go over it well. Peggy.
