witha'K'quilting
I thought I would try something new on this king size crumb quilt. I have been wanting minimal quilting on this one as to not detract from the fun fabrics and piecing. So...small wavy horizontal quilting it is. these waves are 1-1/4 to 1-1/2" apart. fun, fast and effective I think. I found it pretty easy to stay in 'straight' lines. I have to admit, I was a bit worried that I would be 'off' when i got to the bottom of this quilt, but all was good. Superior So Fine top thread and magna classics in the bobbin with Winline 80/20 cotton/poly batting.

Enchanted Quilting
Perfect for this quilt...with the sashing it probably helped the spacing. I am not familiar with "crumb quilt"...is it the block?? A new term for scraps?? Something different entirely? Great job.
witha'K'quilting
thanks everyone. a crumb block is made up of bits and pieces of small leftover scraps. the large blocks here are made up of 4 smaller crumb blocks. they are fun to make, but somewhat time consuming. in this case...many small strips were used as well as squares and even small quilt blocks. think of it as making your own fabric! Here is a link from Bonnie Hunter's site describing more about how to make crumb quilts. http://quiltville.com/barbscrumbs.shtml

CindyT
Looks great! Question...did you always start each wave from the left and go right, or did you go back and forth?
witha'K'quilting
I went back and forth. I worried that I might get waves in the fabric...but tension was great...so no issues.
