bobbi
Baby's are comin' faster than we can make these quilts! This one is for a friend's son. It's just quilted very simply, except the border - I got that from an Applique pattern in the new (June) Quilters World mag. I just traced it and extended it and voila! I think it's so cute! So here's a baby Irish Chain... the blocks are 1"x1". It was all stripped, I was making a wedding quilt for a friend, and cut way too many strips - so it was a perfect oppty to get this baby quilt done! Here ya go! bobbi
The border that I traced is of "Cone" flowers - I LOVE those! This pic is before it's quilted... I also used the MB's little feather in the 1" white border. I had to draw it in all around cause it was soooo tiny!
bobbi
last one of the finished border - closeup... I've been trying to get my "white" balance right so my color would be true, and it's just not happenin' today!
Sandra Darlington
I love Single Irish Chain quilts and your colors looks so soft and inviting. I can't see much of the quilting, as I'm on a laptop with a small screen, but I, too, love cone flowers. That is one lucky baby.

quiltmonkey
Ooooh, Bobbi Baby!! I love this! I have never traced flowers like this so I must try it. I love the lovely affect and the background fill around the cone flowers. You inspire me to try this. Did you use a light box to trace the flowers and leaves? jmcclannan
Tracing an applique pattern - brilliant. I am such an "in the box" person. I can see I need to expand my horizons. Just a darling quilt.

Tracey
I love your quilting!!! I am so afraid to use the blue markers. Has anyone had any problems with it not coming out??? I have a quilt to do that really needs to be marked but I'm scared to use it!!

mskazooli
Adorable quilt, Bobbi, but I'm like Tracey. I once marked a king-sized Mariner's Compass and had "heck" getting the blue marks out. Have they improved the markers lately?
