PattyJo
At a Moxie meeting several months ago, someone commented to our Feathered Star Aficionado, Lynda Newell, about someday teaching us to make a Feathered Star and she readily said yes she would love to do that. Well, months passed and finally we were able to find a date on the calendar when we were able to schedule a class at my home. We had 12 ladies from our Moxie group who wanted to take the class and here are some pictures of the results of our class. We started at 9 AM and went until 6 PM. There were a few of us that didn't quite get done - can anyone say this is a very time consuming block to make - but here are pics of those who did finish!! The First one done was Jill with her Fussy Cut Feathered Star: The second one finished was Shar: then Barb's: Then Melora's: Next was Leslie's (a friend of Bekah's and now a true Moxie) Then Bekah's: Next came Debbie's: And finally BrendaLee's And at 11:30 that night, I finished my block - Thanks Lynda for being so patient with me. Even after Barb and Shar went on to bed!!! Now, our next Moxie meeting is in August and we are hoping that there will be a lot of these block finished and quilted into a quilt and brought for show and tell. We all had a good time, lots of laughing, learning, calling out "Lynda, what do I do now?" and as always, good food. Thanks for looking and sharing our fun time with us. newellyn
I am soooo proud of all my wonderful "students". What a fun, fun day. Everyone stayed on task and ALL completed fabulous Feathered Stars. You all need to pat yourselves on the back for a job VERY well done. Can't wait for the next one. I look forward to seeing all those finished projects in August here at the beach. And a special thank you out to Pat for hosting, she made the weekend perfect!!!

Bonnie
So wish I could have come back out. But would have followed Melora's example of size. Tiny pieces with moose fingers doesn't always work.

PattyJo
We sure had a lot of fun. My home is such that we were kind of in 2 rooms next to each other and first one room, then the other would erupt into laughter, so we really did have a great time. And poor Lynda's was running back and forth between the 2 rooms - What a good teacher. Bev (Gramma Snooks) and Kathy (Debbie's friend) and I were the ones that didn't finish before everyone left. I finally finished mine late that night and posted a pic, so Bev and Kathy, please post a picture when you get yours finished so that everyone can see them. And thank all of you for your kind words. I just like to share the fun with everyone.
