rduncan
Quilted for a friend. This was the QuiltSmart technique and I had read not to quilt in the interfacing portion, so concentrated on the background areas. Goal: Mark less when doing feathers. I marked the points of the arcs and used a circle template to connect. Filled the rest with feathers as much as possible trying to fill the area. rduncan
Thanks everyone!!! I haven't had time to post lately, or quilt for that fact. This one took some pen and paper practice before starting and the inspiration was Kimmy Brunner's Twirly Whirly Feathers DVD. Not all of the feather ideas were mine but altered to make fit. It all just takes practice and I have a lot more practicing to do. The pics don't show all the boo boos that I saw while quilting. Nothing a bit more practice won't fix. You are right she loved it and immediately put it on her daughters twin size bed. It looked great. Thanks again for all the inspiration and encouragement you all give on this forum.
