LadyLake
Here is a spiral table runner that I made for my folks. Any thoughts on how to quilt? TIA!
delld
Wow! Different! How about meandering freehand flowers! Or CC's or Terry twist! That would give you lots of texture!
Bekah
No quilting ideas but that is really stunning!

JustSewSimple
Wow, did you make the pattern yourself? I love it! I sure would look good on my dining table and the colors are right!!!:D:D
Wannabelongarm
I've seen them done with a vine and leaves down each colour, and a feather vine down each colour, and one big meandering feather down the whole thing. Very pretty! Joanne Flamand Artistic Quilt Design www.artisticquiltdesign.wordpress.com
Quilting Heidi
that is really cool looking. I think no matter what quilting design I chose I would make sure it keeps that S shape. So you could do an echoed S shape in each shade or a 1/2 circle or a shell. You might even want to do an echo going up one direction and then down the next. I think it would create a cool optical illusion.
ffq-lar
I am so glad Heidi posted--she has the best ideas and I completely agree with her. My thoughts go in the same direction--keep the S shape by following it along. That table topper is beautiful and very striking--it will be beautiful on a Thanksgiving table. I love it! Farmland Quilter
Ok, it's fabulous. Have to know did you have instructions for this or did you make the whole thing up yourself.
iedquilts
No idea for the quilting but I love it- Is there a pattern available or is this your own? Irene
Snowflake
I saw this as a class, but I am not near the east, please post where to find the pattern.
LadyLake
I bought the pattern and 25" - 9 degree Wedge Ruler from a local shop called The Country Schoolhouse in Superior, WI (http://www.country-schoolhouse.com/about.htm). I'm sure she would be more than happy to send the pattern and tool, and answer any questions. Since you all seem to like it, here is another one I did (my favorite) in orange and green. Before sewing it together, I switched every other wedge, so that the values flipped.

quiltmonkey
I see feathers! use the central piecing as the spine and feather out to the edges! PS: curled (hooked) feathers would look cool cuz they have the curl "S" shape to them anyway and they're easy to do and look fabulous!

Farmland Quilter
I looked at the pattern and they trimmed the edges to a smooth finish but I like the Look better just the way it is. Any suggestions on how this could be achieved?
