yankiequilter
I was inspired to make a log cabin quilt by one that I saw on the forum, but now I can't find the post where I saw it. I apologize for not being able to find the post because I would like to acknowledge the person, but I think that it was WendyJ that posted a picture of one still on the frame, with some radiating hatching. DH made a rotating tool that made it easy for me to use to do the radiating hatching . I have the Pajama Quilter (Dawn Ramirez) DVD and watched it again and used an idea from her to stitch the flowers, leaves and ribbons in the border. The narrow inner border is only 3/4 inch and I was stumped about what to do in it but when I started up the easy 3's and e's came to mind and so that is what I did. The back is also batik and I used Rainbow thread on top with Bottom Line in the bobbin. You saw a picture of this quilt before it was quilted when I was asking about naming quilts. Thanks for looking. Quilt Center Border Close up Quilting

yankiequilter
Originally posted by Boni Is that metallic thread? Looks like it in that bottom photo. The thread is Rainbows, Inca Pink #805. I didn't have the right color of thread so I ordered 4 different Rainbows, hoping one would work, and this one is perfect. The thread color doesn't show very well in the pictures but it has a lot of the colors of the batik fabric. Thanks, everyone, for your nice comments and compliments.
