anniemueller
I quilted my first panto earlier this week. It was fast and easy once I got going. Took a little while to figure out how to line things up. The pattern is called Popcorn. I only started up heading the wrong way once, after a bobbin change. I did load the quilt upside down, but it's not a directional pattern so who cares?! Made a note to self for next time though.
quiltmonkey
Great job Annie. I am glad you are sharing your photos. This inspires the newbies like you. Hey, one tip that I do on pantographs that get confusing is (every so often) I draw a little arrow next to the line (or on the line) so I know I am going the right direction! trust me on a panto I have gone backwards over a line I've already quilted and it's a bugger to rip out. mrsbishwit
Annie, you did an awesome job! Popcorn is one of my favorite pantos and lately a big hit with my customers, I done it on about a half dozen quilts in the past month alone. Julia Rockwell
Great job Annie. I did my first panto a couple weeks ago also. I love them and have already started a small stash of pantos, which I am sure will be growing...hopefully not like my fabric stash though or else I might need to take over even more of the basement that I already have!LOL

countrystitcher
Good job, I use Popcorn a lot on baby quilts as I think it looks like clouds. Another good one for beginners is Waterworld. I am a panto nut and will promote them to my customers in place of custom work unless they are entering a quilt in a show. Relax and have lots of fun! Chocoholic
Great job, Annie. I am in awe of people, especially beginners who can do pantos. I can't seem to follow a line with a little red light to save my neck. ;-)
Toni123
Awesome job, Annie. I love panto's but am finally venturing out to all-over free motion. These feathers are going to make me gray before my time. You might also want to try Continuous Line Curves as practice.
