ETownsend
I don't I've posted this quilt. I finished early spring but put it away and sort of forgot about it. It's a whole cloth design with shadow trapunto. Though I enjoyed making it, it was a challenge to quilt, especially the celtic designs in the border! If ever I make another, I'll simplify the borders! I have some more shots in the album on webshots - http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/album/579767416OiFtlJ?vhost=home-and-garden :P

Guest Linda S
Wowzers, Evelyn! Did you do that all with cut-away, with batiste as the topper? It is exquisite. I'm glad you did the harder borders - it's just gorgeous. You take that thing out of hiding right now and show it off to the max! I love it. ETownsend
Linda, I didn't use batiste. I use muslin and traced the image on top of the muslin. Then i used wash away thread and basted around the image with the colored fleece beneath. Then I cut the fleece closed to the basting before I put the quilt on the frame for quilting. It took a LONG time to cut away all the fleece. Evelyn
