ffq-lar
This is the third Moonglow I quilted for a group of piecers who took a class three years ago. They are friends so I had to quilt "almost the same but different" on them. The depth of color is wonderful on these quilts.

Anne from Guam
A couple of questions: Did you start with the cc's to stabilize the top? How many hours do you put into a quilt like this? Fantastic quilting!

ffq-lar
A couple of questions: Did you start with the cc's to stabilize the top? How many hours do you put into a quilt like this? Fantastic quilting! Yes, the CC's were the first things quilted after pin-stabilizing the borders. I think it took about 14 hours to quilt. The basic layout has been the same for all the Moonglows I've quilted. CCs in the chains, a motif (like feathers or scrolls) with an arc spine to encircle the pieced stars, a background fill behind the stars and simple CC quilting within the stars. Four thread colors--purple, navy blue, leaf green, and dark teal--for the colored fabric and black for the filler. I used purple for the quilting of the stars. Thanks for the kind comments! JustSewSimple
Linda, do you know how long it would take me to put that many stitches in a quilt? I do not have enough time left on this earth to quilt one of those! I just don't know how you do it, girl! And they all look sooooo perfect!!!!
