ramona-quilter
Great design and beautiful quilting, Shannon. I love the way you carried those diamond points in the pink border down into the slim dart in the green border. That took some planning. Beautiful feathers. skrat
Thank you all for your wondeful compliments. This was a quilt that she designed herself to give to her 93 year old MIL. Originally she wanted me to put a quilt top that had pieced cardinals on the top side of the quilt and this one on the bottom. When we opened this one up, I told her there was no way that I was going to use this quilt top for the lining on a quilt. So at that point, me and some other ladies in the LQS convinced her to let me do custom on this one and just stipple the other one to give to her MIL who is in a nursing home. She told me to do whatever i wanted on it, and this is what I came up with. Thank you by the way for all the inspiration that I got from this forum. You all are great. skrat
Georgene, Yes, I did this all free hand with a little aid with rulers for the borders with lines in them. Thank you. And yes I do teach classes to people on their DSM's but haven't thought about teaching longarm classes.
