ffq-lar
My last quilt for October--I just made the deadline! This is a skill-builder sampler taught by a local instructor and she will use it in her class. Large border is filligree feathers.
ffq-lar
A close-up. The lighter blue border is something new I tried. I marked the diamonds and quilted close parallel lines around them without actually stitching the diamonds. I call them soft diamonds. I didn't want a hard/harsh line in that area to clash with the curly feathers in the big border. My customer saw this halfway done on the frame when dropping off her next quilt and said she likes them a lot. Thanks for looking.

Primitive1
Beautiful Linda! I am working on a quilt and used that exact same thing with the diamonds in my border thanks to Heidi's suggestion! Only I did a small stipple around the diamonds and it does look good...in my quilt's case, it really camoplage (I know I didn't spell that right) the uneven piecing....love all the sample blocks! Great idea!

I really like that look. Would you please show us how you do them?
