RoseCity Quilter
I have not been on here much the last two weeks because I have been helping renovate the building that houses the buisness we just bought! In addition to Quilting From the Heart, the quilt shop we run, we just bought The Sewing Center, also in Camrose! The Sewing Center is a machine dealership, carrying Janome, Pfaff and beam vaccuums as well as some fabric and a lot of notions. Before you think, is she nuts....our Daughter Kathleen and her fiancée Rocky will be running this new venture for us, eventually they will be the owners. The previous owner will be working with them and training them. Best part is Kathleen and Rocky moved to Camrose! And we get to work closely with them! We re-opened today, it was a great day. Here are some pictures, I need to take more of the finished product tomorrow.... How Denis started.... The Swing Center Renovations by RoseCity Quilter, on Flickr Kathleen and power tools! ffq-lar
Great news, Ardelle! Expanding is hard, since you know the long hours you spend with one business, but your family taking over the new business eventually is a win-win! The space looks so clean and bright and I bet the locals are happy the shop didn't close. Congratulations!
