Birthday Block Acknowledgement

The house blocks that were posted are so cute. What a great idea. The bird is really clever. Here's my school house block for Karol. Hadn't ever made one of these and can see that they could become favorites. It turned out too big since I used a railroad station kit as the basic part and now probably could design one on my own.

All of the blocks are beautiful!

I have been working on a surprise B'day party for my husband's 50th - party is next week. Once that has passed, I hope to get back on track with acknowledging my fellow quilters and quilting. My treat -- Innovations -- that should get me back on track!!

Ok all you talented, generous and wonderful birthday women...............I'm done and all 65 b-day blocks have been sent. Please let me know if you didn't get yours from by the end of the week and I'll get busy and send another.

In the past a few of you busy girls haven't let me know if you have received yours. So now if you don't or didn't get your fabulous block from me then it got lost in the mail. Let me know.

Can't wait to see all the completed birthday quilts .

Sorry - I was going to work on blocks this weekend, but we just got home.

Thought my man would be gone to a biker thingy all weekend, instead he

deceided that we should all go up and visit his Grandma. Well - believe you

me - I am VERY glad we did!! Great-Grandma Tessie - Bless her heart and

soul - bought us a new Dodge Grand Caravan!! WHHOOOIIEE!! :D:)

How cool is that!?!??! The brakes went out on my car on our way up there-

which is Grand Rapids, MN (about 5-6 hrs away) not a fun drive. Needless

to say we really need a different vehicle, and hey - who am I to stop her

from doing what she wants to do with her money!! You should have heard

her talk to those car salespeople who try to change their stories and $$

after the deal is made - she is one tough cookie with all of her wits yet!!

Now my husband HAS to clean-out the garage so that the van will fit in it,

and she sent me home enough fabric to make 2 twin size quilts for our girls.

These things will need to get done before she comes for a visit in a month

or two. Now we have a dependable vehicle to drive-up and get her and

bring her down here for a couple of days.

How sweet it is to see that sitting out in the driveway!! Silver and Sweet!

I just want to thank those who have sent me birthday blocks they are great. I will be getting around to reciprocating. Please be patient with me, I spent the afternoon in the hospital with my son Daniel again. They rushed him in from school and it appeared to be a more definant seizure this time. I spent time on the phone with the U of M doctors so we will see what the outcome will be. When I got home I had a customer drop off another quilt for me to do, that brings my list to 61. I am hiring someone next week to come in and run the quilt shop while I quilt. I do have plans of what I am going to do for the return blocks, now for the fun to put them together.

Here are the ones that I have received so far:

Carol Hillary

Barbara Goodson

Valierie Edwards

Vicki Bohnhoff

Rita Kilpatrick

Thank you again I love each one, they are like little hugs in the mail and I need that right now.
