I have a quilt that I will be putting on here for ideas, but it is a hand applique. I just didn't know whether to stitch around or not. The stippling made the flowers stand out and the feathers go so well with the flowers. I like the swirly's too and the the border is perfect. I'm going to be working on an applique quilt soon and wondered the same thing about stitching around the applique before filling in the block. Maybe stippling will be enough. I love your quilting.
