witha'K'quilting
Here is my 11 year old daughter's quilt that she made from start to finish. It is the 5th top she ever pieced...and first to ever machine quilt herself on Frogger. It is for a guild challenge where we had to do the twist and turn pattern...black and white plus one color...and add applique. There were many firsts for her on this quilt...AND, it fits a Double bed! I am very proud of her. There are several pictures I am going to show here. We all love pictures don't we?!? Quilted with a Lime green So Fine on top...and Flourescent lime green Bottom Line in the bobbin...all freehand, of course from the front of the machine. My 12 year daughter and 9 year old son are still finishing their tops. They too are going to quilt theirs when they are finished piecing. I will post those too. They are different in their layouts, so it should be interesting to see them all hanging side by side in our local quilt show July 4th weekend. Thanks everyone for looking! Closeup of her quilting: Madeline with her finished quilt, except binding of course: And finally, the back:

gaildrake
Kristina; Your Daughter Madeline looks just like me when I was her age. I would of loved to have had someone showing me the ropes back then. Your daughter should be real proud of her quilt. She has done a fantastic job. We will be looking for more of her work in the future. Thank you for sharing her and her work with us.

sewlinzi
That is brilliant!! Great colours and lovely quilting, Madeleine! Would she like an 11 year old Scottish penpal? My 11 year old daughter, Freya's quilting has fallen by the wayside lately and she has a few things to do for our Mother & Daughter show next year and needs someone other than me to spur her on...
