Matt Sparrow
I'm kind of killing two birds with one stone by posting this. I saw two posts, one about Karen McTavish's wholecloth design class requesting pictures of quilts designed in her class and I saw in another earlier post that someone requested some help naming her quilt. Here is a photo of the wholecloth I designed in Karen's class at MQX in April. Here is my blog post about the experience. Wholecloth Design Class at MQX 2009 I thought it was a fantastic idea to get some name suggestions from other quilters. I posted a pic of this quilt on FaceBook and had tons of names suggested that really suit the quilt but none that gave me the 'THAT"S IT!' feeling. I'm hoping some of you ladies can help me think of the perfect name for this wholecloth.

IBQLTN2
Matt, that is gorgeous!! I would call it Wings of Freedom I think we might have taken a class together at MCX, did you take Linda Taylors class and win the class sample of hte bird she was teaching? I think my sister and I were sitting in the front row with you. sure wish I had taken that whole cloth design class, It is wonderful!!
Tamarack
How about title it " What Would a Hand Quilter Do". That was a quote from your blog. Whatever you decide on it should be a reflection of your experience making it, that's what makes the 'that's it' moment.
Quilting Heidi
I like Peggy's name.
Bonnie
My first glance I saw wings as well....so either of those would work for me..."Angel Wings" or "Freedom Flight"
Linda G. Craig
Gorgeous, awesome -- I like "Flight of the Sparrow", as reflects your last name as well. Or maybe "On The Wings of a Dove/Sparrow"??
Primitive1
Gorgeous quilt! It doesn't seem like any name would do it justice...but I like Flight of the Sparrow as well... Vicki
Betsy
How about "Winged Radiance"? I also like the sparrow suggestion!
dbz98236
My first thought was Radiance also. Winged Radiance is good. It's beautiful.
LinneaMarie
How about "Angels Breathe"?? It looks like angel wings moving (breathing). Love it!:D
Cheri-Artzgirl
My first thought was Radiance also, except I thought "Radiance from Within". Beautiful quilt! I believe I'll take that class.
Matt Sparrow
Wow! This is one active forum. I love the Sparrow reference, or maybe it's my ego that likes it. LOL! Thank you all so much for the compliments, they mean so much coming from other quilters. Karen's class was amazing and her selection of stencils will blow your mind. Hollyrw
Beautiful quilt! I struggle with naming quilts so most of mine do not have names. You sure are right about Karen's stencil selection. I got to rummage through what she brought with her in a class at Cheryl's a year ago. Fun fun. On Pins and Needles
I was going to suggest "Coterie"...sounds as elegant as your beautiful quilt looks. But Cheri's "Winged Radiance"...I like that one too.

LadyLake
It seems like it should have a medieval name. I like the words radiance and sparrow too. You did a great job of getting some texture out of that piece -- very sure lines of quilting. Thanks for sharing!

PattyJo
Beautiful quilt Matt - Before I saw your last name, I thought of "On a Wing and a prayer" but I must say that there are several names listed here that are just as good if not better ideas. kennan100
"Radient Rising"? The rays really give it an "up" feel, and it has a very Victorian feel to it. "Victoria Rising"? Wings... "Angels Rising"?
